SMC Networks and uControl Receive Intertek (ETL) Certification For Home Security, Monitoring and Automation (SMA) Solution

IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- SMC Networks, a leading vendor of high-quality, reliable Customer Premise Equipment for Service Providers, and its partner, uControl, a leader in the Home Security, Monitoring and Automation (SMA) space, are pleased to announce their joint ETL certification, for the two companies' home security, monitoring and automation solutions.   The SMC Networks/uControl home security system, marketed under the SMC Ruby brand, is the first of its kind to have met specific American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) standards for safety as tested and validated by Intertek.

SMC Networks and uControl are one of the first providers of next generation Home Security, Management and Automation (SMA) solutions to be tested to ANSI/UL Standard(s) and receive an ETL Listed Mark.  This is also the first certification for ZigBee, the wireless standard SMC Networks and uControl use.    The ETL standard certification is specifically for the SMC Networks and uControl TouchScreen device, and home security sensors, which are powered by Ember chips, which support ZigBee wireless standards.
