DEARBORN, Mich., Jan. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Christopher Wojcik has been introduced as the director of Membership at SME, an organization serving the manufacturing industry by promoting advanced manufacturing technology and developing a skilled workforce. Wojcik will assume management of SME's Membership group operations as well as strategic direction, planning, implementation and measurement of membership programs.
"Membership is the foundation of SME as our members are the leaders and thinkers in the manufacturing industry, and our student members are the next generation of makers," said Jeffrey Krause, SME chief executive officer. SME members are a collection of manufacturing professionals, researchers and educators, as well as high school and postsecondary (technical/trade, community college and university) students. Members connect through local chapters and in a variety of programs, including technical webinars and committees, as well as other activities at the local and national level. Wojcik joins SME from the American Society of Interior Designers where he served as vice president of Membership and Industry Development. He also held Membership leadership positions at The American Medical Student Association and the Society of General Internal Medicine.
