NEW YORK, Nov. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Entering its seventh year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. In celebration of the day and the season of giving, Smile Train, the world's largest cleft organization, is kicking off their annual 'Give Smiles' campaign. Smile Train is asking supporters to donate and #GiveSmiles on Giving Tuesday, with the goal of raising $130,000 to provide cleft care to an additional 520 children in honor of the day.
Smile Train will also be participating in a livestream on Giving Tuesday hosted by Devin Thorpe. Thorpe is a journalist, author, professional speaker, and founder of the Your Mark on the World Center, a mission-driven business working to solve the world's biggest problems. "We are so excited to celebrate Giving Tuesday and kick-off our annual 'Give Smiles' campaign," said Schaefer. "Our hope is to raise awareness and inspire giving to help create more smiles and provide much needed treatment for children with clefts around the world."
