SAN DIEGO, April 26, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists (SPSSCS) announced Cindy Steele, LA, NCEA of Little Rock, AR, as its new President today at the 23rd annual meeting of the Society. SPSSCS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of education, enhancement of clinical skills, and the delivery of safe quality skincare provided to patients from the offices of board-certified plastic surgeons.
Ms. Steele has been in the skincare business for more than two decades, honing her skills and obtaining advanced training with Candela Lasers, the Vbeam, GentleYAG, Laser and IPL as well as Sublative Radio Frequency Fractionated Lasers. She has also obtained certifications in CoolSculpting body treatments, HydraFacial MD treatments and microdermabrasion. She was recently appointed by Arkansas Governor Beebe to a 2-year term on the Cosmetology Technical Advisory Board, which regulates the industry in their state. She is also a member of NCEA, an educational organization that defines standards of practice through certification and continuing education accreditation. Formerly, a business manager and makeup artist, she received her aesthetician's license in 2006 and has been a member of SPSSCS ever since.

In addition to her work with SPSSCS, Ms. Steele is very community-minded and works with PATH (Partners Against Trafficking of Humans) and has been the historic 1920s Dreamland Ballroom chair for many years, (which was recently featured in a PBS documentary), hosting such great acts as Sarah Vaughn, Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald.
