SOCMA Welcomes Two New Team Members

ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA) is pleased to announce the addition of two talented professionals to its team. Joe Dettinger, an environmental, health and safety specialist, will lead SOCMA's Compliance & Stewardship program, and Jane Wishneff, an attorney known for her work in the product stewardship space, will head the Center for Baby & Adult Hygiene Products (BAHP).

"Joe will serve as the head of our new Stewardship & Compliance team, and he is no stranger to the association or ChemStewards®. He is well-respected by both our members and staff, and we believe his leadership will be instrumental in modernizing our ChemStewards program."

"I look forward to drawing from my 16 years of experience at the plant level to help broaden and deepen SOCMA's efforts across the EHS sphere, and bridging technical gaps between our staff and member companies. I especially look forward to working with SOCMA members to further strengthen ChemStewards, as well as other areas that will benefit their companies."

Dettinger has a BS in environmental engineering and an MBA, both from Pennsylvania State University. He also holds a CSP designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

"Jane is a regulatory attorney by training but has spent much of her professional life working on public policy issues. Having previously worked with Jane at the International Fragrance Association, North America (IFRANA), I know first-hand her passion and tenacity. Jane's deep experience with the consumer-facing issues that many of our AMS affiliates manage will bring a new level of service to our members and partners."

Before joining IFRANA, Wishneff was Regulatory Counsel and Director, International Affairs for the Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA), and she previously served as Attorney and Council Director for the Manufacturers Alliance.

Wishneff received her law degree from George Mason University School of Law. She also holds a BA in political science from Northeastern University.
