PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Softmart held its annual team summit last week at the Sheraton Valley Forge Hotel in King of Prussia, PA. The three-day conference is the only occasion during the year that all Softmart employees are under one roof to connect, engage, and learn. From Thursday February 5th through Saturday February 7th, the Softmart sales and operations teams were engaged in training sessions, inspired by multiple guest speakers, and bonded over team building activities.
Softmart's keynote speaker, Troy Hazard advised everyone to step back and view the whole picture to move forward, not focusing on small bumps along the road to success. He urged the team to go beyond the sale and establish genuine relationships with customers that are not purely business driven. Building these relationships will help the team anticipate their customer needs and be better prepared to help them achieve success in the future.
Over the next three days, Softmart held informative meetings dedicated to the company's four focus pillars for 2015: cloud, security (data and network), hardware, and virtualization. Each pillar had breakout sessions that educated and trained the team on how they can better support and guide their valued customers through the ever changing IT environment.
On the final day, IT expert Ryan Morris, of Morris Consulting, hosted a coaching session geared towards giving the teams a deeper understanding of their customer base and the issue they are facing in 2015.
