Senior SoftServe executives to attend UCU Gala Fundraising Event in Washington, DC
AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SoftServe today announced its participation in a Gala Fundraising Event in support of the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) organized by Washington DC Friends of Ukrainian Catholic University and the Ukrainian Catholic Education Foundation. The Gala will be held on October 24, 2015, at Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA and will raise funds towards building a University campus and expanding educational programs across a variety of disciplines critical to Ukraine's progress, strength and stability.
Tetyana and Taras Kytsmey (Member of the Board, SoftServe), and Meka and Wilf Voge (VP Sales and Business Development, SoftServe), will attend the Gala event where Sviatoslav Shevchuk, Patriarch of Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, and Bishop Borys Gudziak, President of UCU, will both address the audience.
SoftServe is a long-standing supporter of UCU having worked together in 2008 to launch the Lviv Business School, a strategic educational initiative focused on international experience and complemented with the best Ukrainian practice. Earlier this year SoftServe supported a UCU Charity Event in London, UK, which raised over £93,000 towards the cost of building a new campus at UCU and scholarship funds for talented low-income students. SoftServe also launched a four year Bachelor Program in Computer Science in conjunction with UCU, with all the teaching staff also working in the IT industry.
