Solaire Generation Receives Top Industry Honors

SAN FRANCISCO, July 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Solaire Generation, the nationally recognized market leader for innovative and cost competitive solar parking structures and systems, is proud to announce that two of its projects have been nominated as finalists for the 6^th Intersolar Award for Innovation in the International Solar Industry. Separately, Greentech Media reported that Solaire CEO Laurence Mackler was named as one of the Top 10 Clean Tech Leaders in New York.

The Intersolar Award has established itself as the industry's gold standard, identifying solar companies that separate themselves from the competition with groundbreaking ideas and technological innovations.  The award committee selected Solaire's 3.6 MW installation of Premium F1 solar parking canopies at Dow Jones & Co.'s New Jersey headquarters, as well as Solaire's 685 kW Long Span R5 parking garage solar canopy at Staples' global headquarters in Framingham, MA.  

The Dow Jones project is the largest corporate solar carport system in North America, showcasing Solaire's patented dual-incline design with integrated decking and gutters.  This system safely and efficiently manages snow and storm water while enhancing the parking experience with protection from the elements.  The canopy at Staples, which elegantly crowns their parking garage, is expected to generate 850,000 kWh of clean energy annually while offering protection from sun, snow, and water to those parking beneath it.

Separately, Greentech Media reported that Breaking Energy named Solaire CEO Laurence Mackler one of the top 10 Clean Tech Leaders in NY, recognizing that the company's designs and innovations "have been part of the company's success in avoiding the broader fallout in the increasingly commoditized solar business."

Solaire will be presenting updated pricing and features for its product line at booth 9219 at Intersolar North America, and will showcase its EV/PV solar canopy Kit with integrated EV chargers at this year's E-Mobility Special Exhibit in booth 7030.
