Solar Blooms in New Jersey: World Class Flowers Unveils 178kW Solar Energy System

EGG HARBOR CITY, N.J., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- World Class Flowers expects to reduce its electricity costs by more than $130,000 and generate close to $600,000 in SREC revenue over the next five years, with its new solar energy system installed by Mercury Solar Systems.

The 178kW solar energy system consists of 795 solar panels and 4 inverters. It will produce over 215,000 kW/hr of electricity per year and supply close to 30 percent of World Class Flowers' electrical needs. This will offset more than 150 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually and is equivalent to recycling over 3 million cans of soda, not burning 18,213 gallons of gasoline annually and planting 19 acres of trees.
