
Sonny Kalsi appointed President and CEO of SLC Management
Leadership transition follows final payment for 100% ownership of BGO
WELLESLEY, Mass., April 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - SLC Management, the US$309B global institutional alternatives and fixed income asset manager, today announced changes to its executive leadership team alongside a new firm ownership structure. Sonny Kalsi, co-Founder and co-CEO of BGO, has assumed the role of President and CEO of SLC Management. Mr. Kalsi will continue to report to Steve Peacher who remains Executive Chair, SLC Management. John Carrafiell, co-Founder and co-CEO of BGO, becomes CEO of BGO.

As part of the firm's growth strategy, SLC Management, through its parent-company Sun Life, has completed the buy-up of the remaining interests of BGO, the firm's global real estate business and Crescent Capital, the firm's global alternative credit business. Additionally, the firm announced the launch of a management equity plan for SLC Management senior leaders who will own up to a 25% ownership stake of the platform, aligning incentives with long-term growth and performance.
