Sony Pictures Entertainment Unveils The Trailer For "White House Down" And Gives The Fans A Special Sneak Peek Of The Film

CULVER CITY, Calif., March 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Pictures Entertainment today unveiled an extended look at the upcoming movie White House Down by bringing it directly to the fans in anticipation of the launch of the film's trailer online today at 7 PM EDT / 4 PM PDT, it was announced today.  White House Down will be released in theaters nationwide on June 28, 2013.

In Columbia Pictures' White House Down, Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx).  Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group.  Now, with the nation's government falling into chaos and time running out, it's up to Cale to save his daughter, the president, and the country.  The film is directed by Roland Emmerich, written by James Vanderbilt, and produced by Bradley J. Fischer, Harald Kloser, James Vanderbilt, Larry Franco, and Laeta Kalogridis.  Executive Producers are Ute Emmerich, Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin. 

With Channing Tatum in London and Jamie Foxx and director Roland Emmerich in New York, the two lead actors and director came together via satellite to answer questions and show fans the trailer as well as a sneak preview of the film.  Fans can follow the action on Twitter by using the hashtag #WhiteHouseDown. 

At 7 PM EDT / 4 PM PDT, the trailer will be available across AOL's platforms, including AOL.com, Moviefone, The Huffington Post, Huffington Post Entertainment, Black Voices, Mandatory, and Cambio.  The trailer will also be available at the movie's official site, WhiteHouseDown.com.  The trailer debuts in theaters on 3/29.
