LOS ANGELES, March 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Pictures, in association with Ghost House Pictures, announced the title today for their upcoming (previously untitled) Fede Alvarez thriller: DON'T BREATHE. The film had its world premiere at SXSW in Austin over the weekend to a packed house as part of the Midnighters series at the festival, where it was received with frenzied, positive buzz from critics and festivalgoers. The movie will open in theaters nationwide on August 26th.
Critics at SXSW were unanimous in their praise for the film. Perri Nemiroff at Collider.com called it "a masterful combination of suspense and violence that'll have you squirming in your seat and enjoying every minute of it," while Eric Vespe at Ain't It Cool News said it was "a tense Hitchockian thriller."
