SOUR PATCH KIDS to Launch New Halloween Candy and Inspire Mischief-Making on Social Media, Featuring a Partnership with Wingstop

EAST HANOVER, N.J., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- According to SOUR PATCH KIDS, Halloween is mischief season. Starting Monday, October 19, the iconic sour candy brand will be the mischief ringleader and inspire playful chaos through new products, social media, sour and mischievous challenges, and a collaboration with Wingstop.

Throughout the 13 Days of Mischief, SOUR PATCH KIDS will instigate unexpected mischief on its social accounts, inspiring fans to make merry mischief leading up to Halloween, including sour-fying – the act of disrupting, or otherwise unleashing a burst of mischief upon someone in the name of SOUR PATCH KIDS 13 Days of Mischief.

Mischief season isn't complete without SOUR PATCH KIDS, a candy that provides both trick and treat. This year, SOUR PATCH KIDS is dialing up the mischief in the candy itself with the launch of Monster Parts and Tricksters. The full lineup of new candy includes:

• SOUR PATCH KIDS Monster Parts: Monster-inspired shapes in Black Raspberry, Orange and Watermelon flavors. Available in an 8.88 oz. laydown bag for an SRP of $4.29*.
• SOUR PATCH KIDS Tricksters: Each candy might look like a familiar flavor, but it might taste like another, bringing an unexpected trick to the classic treat. Available in a 3.52 oz. theater box for an SRP of $1.50*.
• SOUR PATCH KIDS Glow Ups Ghosts feature Sour Patch Kid-shaped candies in Orange and Peach flavors with edible confetti that glows under blacklight due to the use of turmeric extract. Available in an 8.37 oz. pack for an SRP of $4.29*.
• Treat Size Packs make it easy to stock the candy bowl. Available in 22-, 40-, 80-, 160- and 250-count packs, with a starting SRP of $4.29*.

SOUR-FYING IRL AND ONLINE
Starting October 19 and leading up to Halloween, SOUR PATCH KIDS will inspire its Sour Army, its 1+ million Instagram followers on @sourpatchkids, to sour-fy friends, family and everyone in between. Each of the 13 Days of Mischief will include new ways to sour-fy, including plotting a giggle-generating jump scare.

SOUR PATCH KIDS is bringing sour-fying to Wingstop, with the new limited-time flavor, SOUR PATCH KIDS Wicked Punch. The brands teamed up to bring the mischievously SOUR THEN SWEET REDBERRY-flavored glaze to fans, created by Wingstop's Flavor Experts and topped with SOUR PATCH KIDS Bitz, available to order across all proteins at participating Wingstop restaurants. Club Wingstop loyalty members can get first taste beginning October 23, before the flavor hits Wingstop menus nationwide October 27 through November 5.
