South Texas Independent School District Selects Infinite Campus for Improved Customization and Communication
BLAINE, Minn., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- South Texas Independent School District (STISD) in Mercedes, TX, has selected Infinite Campus as its district-wide student information system. After a thorough review of several regional and national vendors, Infinite Campus, a fully integrated, web-based information system, was chosen as the best product to meet their educational goals.
"Infinite Campus can manage our daily operations and has proven success with state reporting," said STISD Technology Coordinator Javier Jimenez. "In addition, Infinite Campus has a partnership with Region 10 in Richardson, TX, that can provide local support and answer state-specific questions."
The district expects Infinite Campus to increase the efficiency of its information management, resulting in timelier, more accurate reports. The ability to customize Infinite Campus to meet the unique needs of the district was an important factor for STISD.
STISD employees will have access to the information system from home, work or any place with Internet access.
"Our teachers, parents, and students want grades, assignments and school notices available to view at their convenience. Teachers can enter grades from home. Parents and students can log in to the secure Campus Portal and view real-time information. This system will support communication between home and school to help keep students on track," Jimenez said.
"STISD wanted a smart, strong and adaptable information system," said Joe Fox, Campus Director of Sales. "Infinite Campus is focused on assisting districts like STISD to achieve their goals. We are pleased to add them to the growing number of Campus Customers in Texas."
STISD will go live with Infinite Campus in the summer of 2010. STISD is a public, magnet school district serving approximately 3,000 students.
