RIVERSIDE, Calif., Oct. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- B&W Tile, which has manufactured and sold tiles to contractors and homeowners in Southern California since 1947, is finally closing its doors and selling its remaining tiles at auction, with Thomas Hayward Auctioneers conducting the auction.
The auction will feature hundreds of pallets of tiles, including many manufactured at B&W's Gardena facility and others imported from around the world. The inventory includes ceramic, porcelain, glass, mosaic, and numerous other tiles, according to Hayward.
"B&W is especially known for the vintage tiles it has manufactured to match tiles from past eras. After this auction, these vintage tiles will no longer be available. The current owners, who are the sons of founder Ernest Logan, are in their eighties and wish to retire," he said.
"This will include all tile and related products in 53,000 square feet of warehouse, as well as two and a half acres stored outdoors. We expect to attract home supply vendors, retailers, interior designers and contractors," said Hayward.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 5, at 3325 Russell Street, Riverside. The inventory will be available for inspection from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4. The auction will be live, with Internet bidding available via simulcast. Additional information is available at www.ThomasHaywardAuctioneers.com or by calling 888-255-7633.
