Sphinx launches with $9.5M to redefine how AI works with data

With Seed funding round led by Lightspeed, Sphinx unveils AI copilot for data scientists that thinks in statistics and patterns to find value in raw information

The round was led by Lightspeed, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Box Group, K5, Impatient VC and others. The funding will be used to continue building agentic AI that natively interacts with data and data science workflows.

While AI has quickly become a key component of software development, data science has been underserved by the benefits of the technology. The way data scientists work is fundamentally more iterative and exploratory than the workflow of software developers.
