Spokane School District Partners with Hobsons' Naviance to Maximize Student Success

ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on the success of a single school pilot program in 2011, Spokane Public Schools (SPS) will implement Hobsons' Naviance across its middle and high schools, helping over 10,000 students better prepare for post-secondary success.

As the world's most widely adopted college and career readiness platform, Naviance helps students tie academic achievement to post-secondary goals.  Its comprehensive tools allow students to identify unique areas of interest, and explore college and career options based on their skills. Additionally, Naviance provides school counselors and district administrators with insight into individual student goals and performance, as well as reporting tools to track school and district-wide college and career planning efforts.

As part of the district-wide investment to enhance college and career readiness among its student body, Spokane will also employ Hobsons' PrepMe solution for SAT® test preparation at the high school level. An adaptive test preparation platform, PrepMe analyzes the individual strengths and weaknesses of students to create a personalized study plan based on where they need the most help, and the amount of time they have to prepare for the exam.  The solution also provides schools with comprehensive data and reporting to assess the effectiveness of their students' test preparation efforts.

In addition to PrepMe, SPS will implement the Naviance Curriculum Design Package, Family Connection Engagement Packages for each comprehensive high school and Learning Style Inventory for all eighth graders. The District will use general departmental funds to support its multi-year partnership with Hobsons.
