Spring Engineering, Inc. Chooses ConsERV™ by Dais Analytic Corporation as its Preferred Energy Recovery Ventilator Technology
HOLIDAY, Fla., April 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Spring Engineering, Inc. (SEI), a national architecture, engineering and land planning firm, announced today it has chosen ConsERV™ Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs) by Dais Analytic Corporation as its preferred energy recovery ventilator technology.
An Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) is a product which manages the temperature and moisture content of ventilation air for a building's (or home's) heating and cooling equipment. It uses the energy found in the exhaust air stream to pre-condition the temperature and moisture content of the incoming fresh air offering a user a variety of benefits.
"We have selected ConsERV Energy Recovery Ventilators because it offers many advantages our clients seek: High performance, sustainability, and energy savings," said Richard Bekesh, President of SEI. "ConsERV saves our clients money on their HVAC energy costs, has low maintenance needs, often times allows our clients to save on HVAC capital costs, and many times qualifies for a local utility rebate for the installation of high performance heating and cooling equipment. As a multi-disciplinary, full-service design engineering company, SEI strives to provide its clients – like the Lokey group of automotive dealerships where a ConsERV system was recently installed - the highest quality service and support. We believe Dais' ConsERV product complements SEI's overarching goal of providing superior performance and value from every aspect of our work. "
ConsERV is a fixed-plate Energy Recovery Ventilator using Dais' patented Aqualyte™ material – a 'smart' nanotechnology plastic capable of rapidly transferring heat and moisture – the best in its product class.
Implementing ConsERV is useful in retrofit and new construction projects as it improves heating/cooling energy efficiency, and Indoor Air Quality. The product, first introduced in 2005, has won five industry awards for innovation and efficacy. ConsERV offers the potential to reduce the size of heating and cooling equipment saving capital expense. Coupled with the improved energy efficiency the product reduces harmful CO2 emissions. ConsERV holds certification from the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), and is UL recognized.
Tim Tangredi, President & CEO of Dais Analytic Corporation, said that, "We are pleased Spring Engineering, Inc. has selected ConsERV for use in their projects locally and nationwide. The choice of ConsERV underscores yet one more way the SEI team strives to bring the best solution for their clients' needs. We're looking forward to working with SEI's team of designers and engineers as they seek the best energy saving opportunities and improved indoor air quality for their clients."

About Dais Analytic Corporation
Dais Analytic Corporation is commercializing its nanotechnology materials and processes into evolutionary or disruptive air, energy or water applications. The applications include ConsERV as well as others in various stages of development: NanoAir™, a disruptive water-based, no-refrigerant gas refrigeration cycle usable for nearly every air conditioning and refrigeration use (co-funded by the US DoE 'ARPA-E' program); NanoClear™, a simpler method of treating most forms of contaminated water (sea, waste, industrial) to provide 1,000 times cleaner potable water; and NanoCap™, a disruptive energy-storage device. Each application underscores the diversity of Dais' core product, Aqualyte™ -- a family of nano-structure polymers and processes -- by focusing on minimizing consumption of irreplaceable natural resources and stopping the degradation of our environment.
