About Spring Valley Asset Management LLC
Founded by John Ryan, an industry veteran with more than 22 years of experience managing assets in the alternative investment arena, Spring Valley Asset Management (SVAM) applies a disciplined and repeatable investment process that is both quantitative and systematic in nature. The firm's investment strategies seek to generate returns that are non-correlated to those of traditional investments, such as stocks and bonds, yet differentiated from its relevant peer group in terms of its proprietary modelling, asset allocation and portfolio construction techniques.
Investment Philosophy & Approach
The SVAM Tactical Trend Portfolio pursues a multi-strategy approach to trading across a diversified blend of futures markets. The portfolio dynamically allocates exposures based upon a proprietary assessment of the prevailing market environment (e.g., expanding vs. contracting volatility, increasing vs. decreasing correlation, etc.) and allocates across many models (over 100) and timeframes (short, intermediate and long) in order to obtain quality risk-adjusted returns, regardless of market environment and conditions.
