SSR LLC Announcement: Hugh Wynne And Eric Selmon Join To Lead Utilities And Renewable Energy Research
STAMFORD, Conn., Sept. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SSR LLC (SSR) is pleased to announce that Hugh Wynne and Eric Selmon are joining the firm to lead an exciting new initiative in Utilities and Renewable Energy research. Together Hugh and Eric bring a broad range of experiences in the power industry, as well as in both sell-side and buy-side research.

Prior to joining SSR, Hugh was Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst at Bernstein Research, where he was responsible for the regulated utility, independent power and renewable energy sectors. In that role, he was ranked nine times by Institutional Investor in its annual All-American Research Team poll.
Before joining Bernstein, Hugh was Vice President of Finance at ABB Energy Ventures, the power project development subsidiary of ABB Asea Brown Boveri, where he was charged with making equity investments in, and arranging non-recourse financing for, major power generation and transmission projects globally. Previously Hugh was Senior Vice President in Lehman Brothers' Utilities and Project Finance Group. Hugh holds a B.A. degree from Harvard University, and an M.A. degree in Economics from Stanford University.
Eric Selmon has 15 years of experience as a research analyst covering the U.S. utility, power and renewable energy industries, and has also acted as a consultant to companies in the sector. Prior to joining SSR, Eric was a senior member of the research and portfolio management team at Longbow Capital Partners, a utility/energy-infrastructure focused hedge fund. During this time he also consulted for a number of asset managers and corporate entities in the cleantech, utility, power and energy industries, including successfully arranging financing for several MW of rooftop solar projects, advising a utility-scale energy storage company, overseeing a power plant optimization software company and raising capital for a number of cleantech startups. Previously, Eric worked at Bernstein Research covering electric utilities alongside Hugh Wynne. Eric holds a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School, and B.S. in Earth Systems and M.S. in Engineering degrees from Stanford University.
