St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Thanks and Giving® campaign launches Nov. 2 at Christopher & Banks stores nationwide
Retailer to host in-store "Making Merry" event, Nov. 5
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In 2015, Americans donated a record $373 billion to charitable organizations, with 71 percent contributed by individual donors. These findings demonstrate the strength of American giving – and this holiday giving season is predicted to persevere. Christopher & Banks, a women's specialty retailer, today announced the start of their annual St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign, which supports the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®. The campaign is founded in the generosity of the retailer's customers with donations accepted across Christopher & Banks' more than 500 stores, starting Nov. 2.

Christopher & Banks was named the 2016 St. Jude Thanks and Giving Partner of the Year by ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In 2015, Christopher & Banks raised more than $2.2 million for the children of St. Jude and over the last three years the retailer has donated more than $3.3 million to the hospital.
Making Merry Holiday Event
On Saturday, Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., all Christopher & Banks locations will host the annual Making Merry event. During the event, customers will have the opportunity to make a donation and help ensure no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food while they receive care at the hospital. Customers that make a $5 donation will receive a coupon book, offering $25 in savings at Christopher & Banks. With a $10 donation, customers will receive a holiday sweater ornament exclusively designed by a St. Jude patient, plus the Christopher & Banks savings coupon book. C&B will support St. Jude all holiday season.
Customers can extend their merriment in-store by enjoying refreshments, snapping a picture in the #MakingMerry photo frame and signing the #MakingMerry banner that will be sent to patients at St. Jude to wish them a happy holiday.
