DUBLIN, Ohio, April 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Stanley Steemer^® has announced it is the first carpet cleaning service to meet the standards adopted by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) to earn the asthma & allergy friendly™ Certification Standard for Professional Carpet Cleaning. Stanley Steemer Spot Remover™ also earned AAFA's asthma & allergy friendly™ certification in the Cleaning Products category. To achieve the asthma & allergy friendly™ certification, Stanley Steemer's Professional Cleaning process underwent a rigorous course of testing to evaluate the levels of air and surface allergens before and after the carpet cleaning process as well as the content of their cleaning chemicals.

Test results showed Stanley Steemer's Certified Professional Cleaning process removes an average of 94 percent of common household allergens, including: 92.8 percent of cat dander, 97.8 percent of dog dander and 91.4 percent of dust mite allergens.
