Stanton Optical's Ohio Stores Give Back to the Local Community

DAYTON, Ohio, Oct. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Stanton Optical encourages their employees to get involved in activities throughout the local community. The eyeglass store operates 3 sites in the Ohio market.

The Miamisburg and Beavercreek locations are in the Dayton metro area, with a third store in Toledo. All three Ohio stores, along with most Stanton Optical locations, have eyeglass donation boxes setup for the Lions Club Recycle for Sight program.

Toledo manager Alexis Selby, along with her roommate, participated in the Color Me Rad 5K on September 22nd at the University of Toledo. The event benefitted various charity groups including the Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity, The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo and Scrap4Art.

Stanton Optical Helps The Sparrows Nest

The Toledo store also made a generous donation to help the Sparrow's Nest Cherry Street Mission Ministries. The Sparrow's Nest is a 24/7 homeless shelter for women in need in the Toledo, OH area. The facility helps women and children of domestic violence and homelessness.

Stanton Optical store employees, along with customer Sheila Olson, took up a collection and donated $150 of their own money for this worthy cause. The funds were used to buy a gift card for the silent auction part of the annual The Woman In Me - The Women in My Life fundraising event which took place on Saturday, October 12th.
