Star Career Academy New Name for Star Technical Institute Schools

BERLIN, N.J., March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Seven career schools currently operating under three different names have taken on a new identity, renamed Star Career Academy.

Star Career Academy offers programs in the medical, culinary, hospitality and business fields at seven locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.  The Culinary Academy of Long Island and Career Academy of New York have a long history of successful hospitality and culinary programs as both join the Star Career Academy family. Star Career Academy in Philadelphia will also begin offering a culinary arts program this spring.  

Star Career Academy's schools include New Jersey locations in Brick, Egg Harbor Township, Newark and Clifton, and Philadelphia, Penn.  Among the medical-related programs offered are: Medical Assistant, Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician, Surgical Technology, Dialysis Technician and Cardiology Technician.  Star Career Academy also offers a business program in Insurance and Health Information Technology.  Not all programs are offered at all locations.

The Culinary Academy of Long Island, in operation since 1996 and now part of Star Career Academy, offers programs in Professional Cooking, Commercial Cooking, Baking & Pastry and Hotel & Restaurant Management.  

Since 1935, Star Career Academy in New York, located in lower Manhattan and formerly known as the Career Academy of New York, offers culinary-related programs in Commercial Cooking & Catering, Commercial Cooking, Hotel & Restaurant Management and a medical-related program, Medical Assistant.
