State Street CEO Ronald O'Hanley and Leadership Expert Robert Quinn to Deliver Bentley University's Commencement Addresses
WALTHAM, Mass., March 19, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Ronald O'Hanley, president and chief executive officer of State Street, one of the world's top providers of financial services to institutional investors, will deliver the keynote address at Bentley University's 100th undergraduate commencement ceremony this May. O'Hanley's career includes leadership positions at Fidelity Investments, Bank of New York Mellon, Mellon Financial Corporation and McKinsey & Company, in addition to State Street.
Robert Quinn, a renowned expert on positive leadership, best-selling author and professor emeritus at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, will deliver the address to graduate students at the 44th annual commencement ceremony for Bentley's McCallum Graduate School of Business.
Bentley University's undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Approximately 1,400 students will receive diplomas and be joined by more than 7,000 members of the university community, family members and friends. During the respective ceremonies, O'Hanley and Quinn will receive honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degrees. Undergraduate students will receive bachelor's degrees from a variety of business and liberal arts programs that prepare them for career and life success in today's innovation economy. Graduate students will receive advanced degrees that include a Master of Business Administration, Master of Analytics and Master of Accounting.

O'Hanley's areas of philanthropic and civic interest include corporate governance, retirement/healthcare policy, education and climate, and he has led several initiatives on gender equality.
Quinn is co-founder of the Center for Positive Organizations at the University of Michigan. His research and teaching interests focus on leadership, organizational change and effectiveness. He has published 18 books on these subjects and has decades of experiences consulting with major corporations and government agencies on how to make cultural change.

O'Hanley is president and chief executive officer of State Street Corporation. He is also a member of State Street Corporation's Board of Directors. O'Hanley was previously president and chief operating officer of State Street Corporation, and before that president and chief executive officer of State Street Global Advisors, the investment management arm of State Street Corporation. He joined State Street in 2015. Prior to State Street, O'Hanley was president of Asset Management & Corporate Services for Fidelity Investments, responsible for all Fidelity asset management organizations and Fidelity's corporate functions and enterprise technology. Prior to joining Fidelity, O'Hanley served as president and chief executive officer of BNY Mellon Asset Management in Boston, a position to which he was named in 2007. During this time, he also served as vice chair of Bank of New York Mellon Corporation and was a member of its Executive Committee. About Robert Quinn
Quinn is the Margaret Elliot Tracy Collegiate Professor Emeritus at the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business. His research and writing focus on purpose, leadership, culture and change. He is a co-founder of the field of Positive Organizational Scholarship and co-founder of the Center for Positive Organizations. He is in the top 1 percent of professors cited in organizational behavior textbooks. Quinn is particularly known for his work on the competing values framework which has been used by thousands of organizations. Commencement Information
Bentley's 2019 commencement will take place on the university's south campus. The undergraduate ceremony will start at 10 a.m. and the graduate ceremony will start at 3 p.m. Both ceremonies will be held under the tent on the football field. Indoor viewing on a large monitor will be available in the Dana Athletic Center and the ceremonies will be held rain or shine.
