Dec 03, 2015, 05:45 ET from The U.S. Conference of Mayors

WASHINGTON, Dec. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- U.S. Conference of Mayors President Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake today issued the following statement on the mass shooting in San Bernardino, CA:

"The carnage continues.  Today's all-too-familiar bulletin on a mass shooting comes out of San Bernardino.  Today's body count, at least 14 in early reports, may be the highest since the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy nearly three years ago.

"Tonight America's mayors again reach out to all of the victims, their families, and the community that has been devastated by this horrific act.  While we don't know what motivated this mass shooting, we do know that as a nation we need to fight back against gun violence. Along with the rest of America, we wait and watch as law enforcement officials continue to respond and begin to determine how and why this tragedy occurred."
