
Statement from Office and Professional Employees International Union Local 153 Secretary-Treasurer Richard Lanigan on the NLRB Dismissal of Unfair Labor Charges Filed by the National Right to Work Foundation
NEW YORK, Dec. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The highly reported unfair labor practice (ULP) charge filed by the National Right to Work Foundation against the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), AFL-CIO has been dismissed by the NLRB on its merits.
The charge concerned an allegation made by an employee of Public Service Electric and Gas in New Jersey that OPEIU stated that he join the union and pay full union dues or be fired and "escorted off the property."
OPEIU Local 153 is very pleased that the NLRB supported its position.
