NEW YORK, Oct. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Status Labs, one of the fastest-growing private companies in the US, will host a professional workshop for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) as part of its latest Evening Workshop Series in New York City.
The Crisis Courtroom: A Brand on Trial, is designed to help public relations and communications professionals successfully navigate a brand crisis. The "trial" and following discussion will be lead by digital reputation and crisis expert Darius Fisher, Founder and CEO of Status Labs.
"In the digital age where everyone has a smartphone and news travels around the world in seconds, it's not a matter of if a crisis will strike but when," explained Fisher. "Failing to prepare can be the demise of even the most established brands."
Hosted at the New York Bar Association's mock trial courtroom, attendees will have the opportunity to play jury for a fictional brand crisis and decide whether or not the brand successfully mastered its disaster.
By the time attendees exit the courtroom they will have a solid understanding of when and how to announce and respond to a crisis, the essential elements to include in an apology, and core audience communication tactics.
"We are thrilled Status Labs has agreed to participate in PRSA's evening workshop series," said PRSA's Director of Professional Development, Jason Barnhart. "The Crisis Courtroom is a first-of-it's-kind event, and will provide attendees with valuable new skills in a unique and fun format."
The two-hour workshop begins at 5:30PM, and will be capped at each end with refreshments and time to network with industry peers.
Those interested in taking proactive steps to protect their brand's reputation can register for the event at www.prsa.org/crisis-courtroom/. To learn about other events in PRSA's Evening Workshop Series.
