Stearns & Foster Donates $1 Million in Mattresses to Salvation Army

TRINITY, N.C., Feb. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Stearns & Foster®, owned by Sealy® North America's No. 1 mattress brand announced today that it will donate $1 million worth of new mattresses to The Salvation Army. The donation is part of Stearns & Foster's Gift of Sleep program, which is in its second consecutive year.  The program benefits The Salvation Army's residential shelters and ensures those who rely on these facilities  will sleep easier knowing they will have a safe and comfortable place to rest their heads.

This winter, Stearns & Foster teamed up with its retailers and committed to donating $100 for every mattress set sold between November 23, 2011 and January 8, 2012 to The Salvation Army residential shelters. Retailers also supported their local Salvation Army residential shelters by participating in a retailer gift-matching opportunity.
