Stephen A. (Andy) Smith Joins GENCO as President of GENCO's Consumer & Industrial Logistics Business

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- GENCO, the leader in delivering product lifecycle logistics^sm solutions, announced today that it has named Andy Smith as president of GENCO's Consumer & Industrial business unit. He will be responsible for building on the strong market position and growth trend already established in GENCO's Consumer & Industrial Logistics business. Smith will report directly to Todd R. Peters, GENCO's CEO and vice chairman.

Jim Polacheck, former president of GENCO's Consumer & Industrial business, has been appointed to the position of vice chairman of GENCO, reporting directly to Herb Shear, GENCO's executive chairman. In his new role, Polacheck will work closely with Shear, Peters and GENCO's business units on a variety of strategic projects and serve as an executive sponsor to several key customers.

He most recently served as chief operating officer for a $400 million supply chain management company.

Smith has a bachelor's degree in Management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
