Steven F. Casey, Noted Litigator, Moves to Jones Walker

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Jan. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Jones Walker is pleased to announce that Steven F. Casey has joined the Commercial Litigation Practice in the firm's Birmingham office. Mr. Casey joins the firm as a partner and most recently was with the firm of Balch & Bingham LLP.

Waters, head of the firm's Birmingham office, expressed his excitement over Steve's move to Jones Walker, stating, "Steve has a very strong trial background, having tried over 50 jury trials in his career. He serves as national counsel for a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in litigation involving several of its products, and has extensive experience in insurance coverage litigation and environmental pollution cases. Mr. Casey has practiced law in Alabama for more than 30 years. He received his juris doctor degree, cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Cumberland Law Review from 1978-1979. Mr. Casey received his bachelor of science degree from The University of Alabama. Since 2009, he has been listed in "Alabama Super Lawyers" in the areas of Personal Injury Defense and Business Litigation, and has an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
