"We're excited to welcome Stephen, Peter, Beth, Eric and Ali to Steward Partners and to Raymond James in Steward's new Boston location," said Scott Curtis, president of Raymond James Financial Services. "This group represents another addition of high-quality, client-focused advisors to affiliate under Steward Partners' business model. We're proud of our relationship."
STEWARD'S MOMENTUM CONTINUES IN 2017
"We are thrilled to launch our Boston office with such an excellent group of advisors," says Steward Partners' CEO, Jim Gold. "We are expanding in new and existing markets, and we're adding some amazing talent along the way. In addition to growing our wealth management practice, we will be expanding our reach into family office, succession planning and investment advisory capabilities. As mentioned in prior releases, we doubled the size of our firm in 2016, and we expect to do the same in 2017, all while remaining focused on hiring great people who also run a great business."
STEWARD PARTNERS' BUSINESS MODEL ATTRACTIVE TO ADVISORS IN BOSTON
"Steward's model provided us with the best of both worlds," said Spector. "We looked at all of our options and weighed each one carefully, considering which would be best for our clients. In the end, independence had so many advantages over traditional firms that it became the obvious route. What wasn't so obvious was which independent firm to choose."
"We felt that culture was the driver at Steward," said Beth Sweeney. "We also liked the idea of partnership and equity ownership. Ultimately, we believe that our clients will be happier at Steward."
"We also took comfort in the relationship Steward has with Raymond James," added Frisch. "The platform is very sophisticated and offers all the products and services that individual investors require."
"I've spent my entire professional life at the wirehouse firms," said Madalinci. "I've watched the industry make a significant shift to independence and realized that's the future of wealth management. Steward gives me independence with infrastructure."
Since November 2013, Steward Partners has added 55 advisors with over $45 million in trailing twelve-month production and over $6.3 billion in assets under management. The firm intends to expand the number of partners and locations significantly in 2017.
