PUYALLUP, Wash., Sept. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Teeter, manufacturer of the popular inversion table brand Teeter Hang Ups, is pleased to announce the 73rd birthday of their Founder and Chairman, Roger Teeter. Roger and his wife Jenny started making inversion products after Roger battled with chronic back pain for years as a result of injuries suffered during his competitive waterskiing career. After a friend introduced him to inversion, and seeing the dramatic improvement in his own joint health, Roger decided to use his experience as an engineer in the aeronautical and water ski industries to build better, safer and more comfortable inversion products so others could experience the benefits of inversion at home.

In 1981, in the confines of his own garage, Roger Teeter began re-engineering the same product that introduced him to inversion - the Gravity Boots. A year later, his company began distributing its first Over Easy Inversion Table, making inversion therapy even more accessible. By the end of the 1980s, the Teeters had moved the company out of their garage to a facility in Tacoma, WA, and incorporated to become STL International, Inc (now doing business as Teeter).

Roger has become a beloved personality and trusted individual in homes across America as the primary spokesperson for Teeter's live TV and infomercial programs. On HSN, Roger has presented the longest-running fitness program in their history.
