StiQR Offers Consumers Instant Vehicle Histories

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Sept. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- When shoppers walk on the lot at McGrath Lexus in Westmont, Illinois, they have instant access to vehicle histories without having to ask!  Using a new product developed by Florida-based Auto Data Direct, Kathy Mallet, McGrath's Internet Manager, says consumers are getting what they want out of their car shopping experience.  

The "StiQR", a label printed by the dealer and affixed to the car, uses QR code technology allowing consumers to scan the code with their smartphone and instantly receive a vehicle history from the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS).   "Our customers love it and it makes the experience more open and friendly for them," says Mallet.  "They don't have to ask for the vehicle's background.  We're giving it to them up front."
