Paying homage to the people of Richmond one year following the company's first local brew, the festival entwines independent craft beer with a full day lineup of artists as vibrant and distinctive as the region's beers themselves. Bands taking the stage have been selected by Stone out of respect for their rugged independence, bold individuality and downright badass sounds.

The Brown's Island festival experience is a chance for the brewery to show its appreciation to the Richmond, VA and wider community for the incredible welcome the brewery has received since beginning production last year. Festivalgoers in the thousands will celebrate craft beer selections curated by Stone Brewing. Food trucks and lawn game tournaments will round out the experience. Music is deep in the roots of Stone Brewing.  Fans at the festival are going to hear bold, vibrant sounds. They'll find some funk, rock, soul and a lot of the unexpected. Stone Brewing co-founders, Greg Koch and Steve Wagner first met at a music rehearsal studio owned by Greg where Steve's band often played. Twenty-eight years later, the musical refrain is still harmonious with Stone's offerings.
