COLUMBIA, Mo., Aug. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- StorageMart, a Columbia, MO based storage company, announced today the promotion and hiring of key personnel in top-level positions. Three new positions include: Senior Director of Operations, IT Manager, and Director of Projects and Metrics.
Alain Gingras, formerly a Senior Regional Vice President of Operations at StorageMart, has been promoted to Senior Director, Operations. In this role, he is the point of contact for StorageMart locations across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Alain also serves as lead on special operational projects. Alain holds a Bachelor's degree in International relations and economics from Université du Québec in Montréal ( UQAM ) Other than a short time operating his own business, Alain's entire career has been in self storage.
Alain held his first position in the self storage industry with Forteresse Self Storage as the General Manager, building and operating two facilities in Montreal from September of 1993 to May of 2005. In May of 2005, Alain became the Director of Operations for Apple Self Storage, which owned and operated 12 properties in Ontario and Quebec. He joined InStorage LP in May of 2007 as the Regional Director of Operations and held this position until his promotion to Vice-President Sales and Marketing in January of 2009. In April of 2009, following the purchase of InStorage LP by StorageMart, Alain was promoted to the position of Regional Vice President for StorageMart. After being responsible for Western Canada and Quebec for 2 years, Alain took on the operations in the Eastern USA in 2011, adding the UK operations in 2016. During his career, Alain, built, managed, sold and acquired properties, managed marketing and call center operations. He has touched on every aspect of the business.

Shawn Twenter, formerly the Senior Applications Developer at StorageMart, has been promoted to IT Manager. He now oversees IT project management, and provides IT support for StorageMart's headquarters in Columbia, MO. Shawn holds an AAS in Computer Information Systems from State Fair Community College, a BSBA in Computer Information System from Central Missouri State and an MBA from Columbia College. Shawn joined StorageMart after working at the University of Missouri as a Principal Database Programmer Analyst. Having started in the Controller's Office working on reporting and customizations to the PeopleSoft financial system, he transitioned to the Custom Application Development department as the lead iOS developer writing iPhone and iPad apps. Prior to the University he was a Programmer Analyst for Orscheln Farm and Home in Moberly, MO. Shawn loves to learn and solve problems. He believes that you should always be learning the next thing to stay relevant in our ever-growing tech space. When Shawn is not behind a computer he can be found enjoying time with his wife and children, James, age 5 and Hadley, age 2.
StorageMart also announced the new role and welcomed Clint Hall, Director of Projects and Metrics. He is a Missouri native and graduated from Truman State University with a B.S. in Business Management. Upon graduation, he went to work in the insurance industry where he specialized in project management, data evaluation and process improvement. Wanting to further his education, he obtained his MBA from the University of Mississippi's Executive program in 2015 where he was chosen as the 2015 MBA student of the year. Clint is active in the community and participated the Chamber of Commerce's Community Leader Program where he helped serve the community while networking with local business men and women. Outside of work, Clint enjoys spending time outdoors, playing sports and traveling with his fiancée.
