(Yum) announced the opening of the first Pizza Hut in Iraq in collaboration with franchise partner, Al Kout Food Company, reflecting its continued expansion in emerging markets. The Company informed that the restaurant features a full casual dine-in experience for Iraqi consumers with a vibrant, youthful design and seating for 120 people. Southwest Airlines Co. Analyst Notes
On April 9, 2014, Southwest Airlines Co. (Southwest) reported that it has commenced the operations of its first revenue flight utilizing a Boeing 737-800 equipped with Aviation Partner's Boeing Split Scimitar Winglets. According to Southwest, the upgradation of 737-800s with Split Scimitar Winglets is expected to increase annual fuel savings from approximately 3.5% per aircraft from Blended Winglets to approximately 5% - 5.5% per aircraft annually. Further, the airline also plans to retrofit 52 additional 737-800s currently in the fleet, expected to be completed by early 2015. All of the carrier's Boeing 737-700s and 737-800s, along with a majority of its 737-300s, are upgraded with Blended Winglets saving the Company roughly 55 million gallons of fuel annually.
