Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) Plans Value-Based Purchasing Reporting
New reporting prepares agencies for succeeding in the changing value-based reimbursement environment.
SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Oct. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP), a leading provider of data analytics and benchmarking to post-acute care providers, is releasing its Real-Time Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) Total Performance Score dashboard at the end of October.
By 2018, 90 percent of all fee-for-service (FFS) Medicare payments for beneficiary care will be tied to value and quality, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Starting in 2016, home healthcare agencies in nine specific states have been reimbursed under the new CMS Home Health Value-Based Purchasing Program (HHVBP).
HHVBP creates a pressing need for actionable data analytics. Home health agencies that operate in one of the HHVBP demonstration states and agencies that want to be ready when their respective states join the program will need real-time metrics in a format to help them quickly act on areas to improve value and quality.

SHP customers will use the report to get information that helps them ensure profitability, while simultaneously improving publicly reported quality and star ratings.
