Dr. Afable will also become a member of the Supervisory Board of Strathspey Crown Holdings (SCH-AEON LLC) effective in early 2018. Dr. Afable joins us following a distinguished career in healthcare over the past 35 years, the first half as a treating physician and the second half in hospital administration and healthcare management. Most recently, he has served as CEO of St. Joseph Hoag Health and Executive Vice President of Providence St. Joseph Health Southern California Region (leading the seven hospital health system in Southern California). Prior to the integration of Hoag and St Joseph's Health, Dr. Afable was the CEO of Hoag Hospital based in Newport Beach from 2005 until 2013. Under his leadership, Hoag Hospital was recognized several times by Healthgrades as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals (2012-2016).
Dr. Afable has been named one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare and 50 Most Influential Physicians by Modern Healthcare.
