Stratos Named World's Top Independent Teleport Operator for Fourth Consecutive Year

--Annual ranking also recognizes Stratos as sixth-largest teleport operator worldwide--

BETHESDA, MD, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ - Stratos Global, the leading global provider of advanced mobile and fixed-site remote communications solutions, today announced it is ranked by the World Teleport Association (WTA) as the world's largest independent teleport operator for 2010. This is the fourth consecutive year that Stratos has achieved the top ranking.

Stratos is ranked first on WTA's 2010 Independent Top Twenty list, which groups companies based on revenue from all sources, but excludes companies whose core business is ownership and operation of a satellite fleet or terrestrial network.

Stratos also is ranked sixth on WTA's 2010 Global Top Twenty list, which groups companies based on revenues from all customized communications sources and includes operators of teleports, satellite fleets and fiber networks.

Both lists were announced by WTA on Nov. 15. The WTA compiles its rankings by surveying teleport operators around the world on their facilities, services and business results.
