Stream Data Centers Begins Construction on State-of-the-Art Private Data Center in Richardson, Texas

RICHARDSON, Texas, April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Stream Data Centers has begun construction on a new data center in Richardson, Texas – a suburb of Dallas.  The development includes a 20,000 square foot, single story, structurally-enhanced building containing 10,000 square feet of 36" raised floor data center space. The data center facility is being built to Tier III+ standards and will include dual feed power from separate substations, 175 watts per square foot of critical load, and a 2N electrical / N+1 mechanical configuration. The fully commissioned, operational data center will be available for occupancy in August, and can be divided into four quadrants or controlled by a single tenant.

The Richardson Private Data Center is designed for the expansion of power and cooling infrastructure to 230 watts per square foot of critical load. This flexibility allows companies to immediately deploy critical data center operations, and have the long term ability to expand power density and cooling. Additionally, the carrier neutral facility will include two telecommunication rooms diversely fed by redundant concrete-encased fiber conduits and access to multiple fiber providers. The Richardson data center has been structurally enhanced to withstand 125 mph winds and will include numerous security features including 24x7 on-site security, man traps, biometric scanners and numerous internal and external cameras.
