NEW YORK, June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Stuart Dean, an international provider of renowned architectural restoration services, has joined Cuyahoga County, Ohio to honor the sacrifice of the county's Civil War veterans during Marine Week Cleveland (June 11 through 17). This week, as many as 1,000 people are expected to visit the refurbished interior of the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument on the Public Square in the city, a 118-year-old memorial that pays tribute to the men of Cuyahoga County who served in that war. It also is one of the first to depict the roles of women in the Civil War. Stuart Dean specialists spent months restoring the historic interior ornate bronze at the core of the monument, returning the metal to its original state. Stuart Dean was also charged with preparing interior stone surfaces, including the large, ornate etched marble slabs on the site of the monument that include the names of fallen soldiers.
