Desso Launches Essence Collection

Leading European carpet manufacturer Desso launches its new Essence Collection. The new range of carpet tiles, consisting of the Essence, Essence Stripe and Essence Maze, offers strong, hardwearing and businesslike products at very affordable prices. The Essence Collection has numerous creative design opportunities with its three distinctive designs and strong colour lines.

The Essence Collection combines geometric blocks, linear patterns and matching plain colours, making it highly suitable for numerous commercial applications, such as offices, schools and healthcare environments.

Extensive colour palette

Colour is a key aspect of the Essence Collection. For more options and a wider variety, we have now extended the existing Essence colour line to 24 colours. The colour line consists of different shades of grey and anthracite, various blues and a selection of natural brown and beige. Expressive colours such as red, orange, purple, yellow and green complete the palette.

Endless design possibilities

Part of the added value of the Essence Collection lays in the extended design possibilities of Essence Stripe and Essence Maze. Essence Stripe is made by combining two colours of Essence in a playful linear design. Essence Maze has a geometric design of blocks and squares and can be installed randomly. The basic anthracites, greys and beiges are completed with more vibrant colours such as red, orange, blue and purple and can be combined with one or two colours of the Essence range for endless opportunities in creative flooring design.

Additional functionalities

Next to our standard backing, we also offer the Essence collection with our unique SoundMaster^® backing which offers an impact sound reduction value (ΔL_w) of +10 decibel (dB) on average, in addition to the standard value. In addition, it offers up to 60% improvement in sound absorption (α_w) in comparison to our standard carpet designs.
