SAINT PAUL, Minn., Jan. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Summit Companies, a premier fire and life safety company, announced its acquisition of ABC Fire Extinguisher Co. Inc. d/b/a ABC Fire and Cylinder Service ("ABC Fire").  Reno, Nevada-based ABC Fire expands Summit's Southwestern U.S. presence northward, having previously acquired businesses in Las Vegas, Nevada and Phoenix, Arizona. Summit Companies has locations in Arizona, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin, and provides its services across the United States.

ABC Fire has been serving the greater Reno market since 1985 and the Las Vegas market since 2012 as a family-owned and operated business. Today, ABC Fire offers the following fire protection and life safety services, which are consistent with Summit's capabilities: installation, inspection, and repair of fire alarm systems, fire hydrants, kitchen range-hood suppression systems, back-flow preventers, and total flood systems; fire extinguisher sales, service, and installation; kitchen exhaust cleaning; fire extinguisher training classes; and fire pump weekly/monthly runs and annual maintenance. Summit Companies' even broader service expertise will complement ABC Fire's offering for customers in its markets.
