Renowned Oregon golf destination finalizes reconstruction project to offer a collection of courses with bentgrass greens scheduled to open in spring 2015
SUNRIVER, Ore., Jan. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sunriver Resort, A Destination Hotel and home to four distinctive golf courses, announces a $425,000 investment to reconstruct the greens for its award-winning Meadows Golf Course. Slated for a mid-April completion date and to reopen on May 22, Meadows will feature new T-1 bentgrass greens for a pristine putting surface, which is the same turf used on Meadows' sister courses – Woodlands Golf Course and the Top 100, championship Crosswater Golf Course.

"Come spring this year, Sunriver Resort will be one of the only resorts in the U.S. to offer multiple courses featuring bentgrass greens, furthering its strong reputation as a superior golf destination."
Scheduled to reopen in time for golf season, the reconstruction project included removing the existing turf and soil for each of the 18 regulation greens, the practice putting and chipping greens, and the approaches. The greens and a portion of the approaches will be resodded with USGA recommended T-1 bentgrass and the intercut will be replaced with Kentucky bluegrass.
