Superhero Themed 5k Soars To Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- You don't have to be able to leap a tall building in a single bound to be a hero at the annual caped crusader-themed USANA Champions For Change 5K. The charity run is Saturday, August 30 at 7 a.m. at the Energy Solutions Arena (100 S. 300 W.) in Salt Lake City. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to the USANA True Health Foundation (NYSE: USNA) to help people in need all around the world.

"Last year this event attracted upwards of 2,500 people, our largest participation yet," said Elaine Pace, president of the USANA True Health Foundation. "Each year the foundation assists areas in need with critical care and active compassion whenever the situation demands. We wouldn't be able to help so many people if it weren't for each 5K participant and our generous sponsors."

The 5K is open everyone and superhero costumes are encouraged!

• Onsite registration – 6:00 a.m.
• Master of Ceremonies welcome - 6:30 a.m.
• Pre-run warm-up - 6:45 a.m.
• Race begins – 7:00 a.m.

Pricing Schedule

• Pre-registration prices (ends Aug. 26): $25 per adult, $15 per child
• Convention prices (Aug. 27-29)^: $30 per adult, $18 per child
• On-site registration prices (Aug. 30): $35 per adult, $20 per child

Registrants will receive a free commemorative T-shirt and have a chance to win prizes.
