Supplement Research and Development, LLC acquires intellectual property of AmeriSciences®

FORT MYERS, Fla., Dec. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Supplement Research and Development, LLC d/b/a AmeriSciences® has acquired the intellectual property, assets and formulations of AmeriSciences, LP, a former supplier of scientifically-based, nutritional supplements for general health, eye health, weight management, and joint mobility. Supplement Research and Development is an intellectual property, research and development, distribution, and licensing company operating in Florida and Texas, with corporate office at 12381 S. Cleveland Avenue, Suite 205 in Fort Myers, FL 33919.

AmeriSciences LP was first incorporated in 1999. In 2004, it entered into a Space Act Agreement with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The collaboration resulted in developing revolutionary multivitamin, antioxidant, and performance supplements to counter radiation damage and other environmental stress factors commonly found in air and space travel, scuba diving, radiology diagnostics and procedures, nuclear power plants, mines, refineries, and elsewhere.

Carlos Montesinos, former Director of Product Development of AmeriSciences, LP has been named President and CEO of Supplement Research and Development. Montesinos led scientific product development of AmeriSciences® brand products from 2000 until it ceased operations in May 2012. Montesinos plans to expand product development internationally through research and development partnerships with leading scientists and public and private institutions.

She also realigned the sales model from direct sales to e-commerce and expanded wholesale distribution.
