Supreme Auctions Holds Another Successful Luxury Auction in Greater Houston, TX with Sleepy Oaks Chateau
The sale of the no reserve absolute auction closed in just 30 days.
HOUSTON, Sept. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A $4.51 million sale closed on the highly sought-after luxury mansion, Sleepy Oaks Chateau. The closing comes just 30 days after being offered to the market at luxury no reserve absolute auction by Supreme Auctions in cooperation with Martha Adger of Martha Turner Sotheby's International Realty. The auction was held live on-site at the property. This timetable is in stark contrast to the traditional real estate buying process, which can take a year and in most cases more to complete.
The sale of Sleepy Oaks Chateau comes just months after the Colonial Haven success, when Supreme Auctions sold another luxury home in The Woodlands. In fact, the property pre-sold before the scheduled auction date in a record-breaking 10 days. Colonial Haven sold at $5.35 million.
Sleepy Oaks Chateau sold at one of the highest prices of the year after 225 prospective buyers toured the property. Seven bidders attended the auction, which was held at the home in Hunters Creek Village, the most affluent of the Memorial Village communities near Houston, Texas. Bidders were able to pre-register before touring the home one last time prior to the start of the live auction.
It was a timely find for the buyer and his fiancée, who plan to be married and begin their lives together in their new home. The buyer says he feels an incredible gratitude toward his realtor, Greg Staples of Keller Williams Realty, for bringing the property to his attention. Staples discovered the property for his client during a private luxury broker viewing hosted by Supreme Auctions. Staples returned with a brochure for Sleepy Oaks that inspired the buyer to tour the property himself, and ultimately bid on auction day.
"We are thrilled to have brought this home to the attention of so many interested parties through Supreme Auctions' accelerated marketing process, as luxury homes of this caliber tend to remain on the market, sometimes for years," said Jennie Heal – President of Supreme Auctions. "Our process has proven once again to cut that time down to a mere 60 days with strategic, targeted marketing and a streamlined closing process."
While the purchase was a whirlwind of kismet and excitement for the buyer, it was also serendipitous for the home's seller, an architect. He designed and built the home for his family himself, with an unparalleled meticulousness and devotion to perfection. Despite the home's superior quality and elegance, Sleepy Oaks Chateau sat on the market for over two years before the owner found and began working with Supreme Auctions.
