LOS ANGELES, Jan. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Following his recent smash hit sell out tour in Australia, Bear Grylls is set to embark on a 10 date national live tour in the U.S.

Bear Grylls, the star of Man vs Wild, one of the most watched TV shows on the planet, will take to the stage to share his epic stories of adventure and survival. The tour will see Bear recount experiences ranging from his journey to the summit of Mount Everest to never before seen footage and an intimate behind the scenes look at his hit TV show.

"The stage show gives fans a chance to hear first hand stories of some of my toughest adventures: from Mount Everest and the Arctic, to the French Foreign Legion, 21 SAS and more. We then hit the Man vs Wild journey: how the show came about and some of the real highs and lows of tackling many of the world's toughest jungles, deserts and mountains," said Grylls. "Above all though, it's a fun show that the entire family can enjoy!"

With aerial stunts, snakes and fire, the master of outdoor survival shares some of his most memorable moments from the wild.

Author of the number One UK Best-selling book, Mud, Sweat and Tears, the book will hit bookshelves across America on May 1, 2012.

As Bear recounts, "I had a hunger to push myself, and I found out that I could dig very deep when I needed to. I don't really know where or how this hunger came about, but I had it. I call it the 'fire'… and I soon realized that I was beginning to be able to do stuff that no one else at school could do, and it felt good." -- From Mud, Sweat, and Tears.
