Susan Stein, MPH, and Robert Stein, Esq, of Connexion Healthcare Have Been Asked Back for a Second Year to Co-Chair Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation's 11th Annual Lemon Ball

NEWTOWN, Pa., Nov. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Susan Stein, MPH, CEO/President and Robert Stein, Esq, CFO/COO of Connexion Healthcare, will chair Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation's (ALSF) 11th Annual Lemon Ball on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. "We are honored and thrilled at having been asked back to co-chair and be a part of such a worthy event. We are personally dedicated to improving the future of children with cancer, which is part of the mission of Connexion Healthcare. We look forward to building upon what we were able to accomplish last year and working to make The Annual Lemon Ball a huge success," said Stein.

ALSF emerged from Alexandra Scott's (1996-2004) lemonade stand, which she started in her front yard as a 4-year-old child with cancer. ALSF has evolved into a national fund-raising movement, with thousands of supporters nationwide.

Even though 1 in 330 children will be diagnosed with cancer by 20 years of age, less than 5% of the federal government's total yearly funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancer. ALSF helps to fill the gap. Since 2006, ALSF has awarded more than 650 grants for childhood cancer research.

The 10th Annual Lemon Ball raised more than $1 million for the fight against childhood cancer.
